2019 HudsLax Sponsorships Needed

Parents and Lacrosse friends,

We are just about to begin the 2019 season of Lacrosse. Once again we are looking to raise some money to keep the price of lacrosse reasonable in Hudsonville. As a group we cover between 100-130 players and coaches throughout the season. Our coaches are largely volunteer with a few paid positions.

We have made exceptional strides over the past two years from both a coaching and a player perspective. We have become recognized as a premiere lacrosse club in our area as well as the State! This recognition comes from the support you have given your child and the trust you have instilled in our coaches!

New for 2019: ALL coaches are members of USA Lacrosse, this affords us insurance as well as facilitates all of our background checks!

Currently, without sponsors or fundraisers, the cost to play lacrosse in Hudsonville would be close to $350 per player. Because of our generous sponsors / local businesses we have been able to keep the fee to play at $225 for the third consecutive year!

The sponsorship and fundraising together with standard league fees help cover the cost for your son to play as well as affording us the luxury of offering a tiered approach to a multi-player family discount. The sponsorships, helps families experiencing hardship in many forms, from equipment to fee reduction.

Other costs that are covered include: New goals for our War Eagles program (K-2) Sponsorship Banner, sponsorship plaques for each sponsor. Practice balls and bags, whistles, white boards and med kits for each team. End line balls for games, Helmet Wraps for all kids with Cascade Helmets, Club Goalie Gear for each team, each new player gets a uniform - shorts, shirt and Jersey to keep. Returning players are expected to re-use their uniform but will receive a new “Shooter” Shirt to continue representing Hudslax! Defensive sticks for our 6th grade team, Warp or Critik sticks for our K-2 to get them started with properly performing equipment. Club helmets and pad sets for first year “War Eagles”

This year we sandblasted and painted all of our old goals and bought new nets for them. The repair was half the cost of purchasing new and should give us another 5 years with them! The costs also help cover the gym rental for parent meetings, Wall-Ball, and Saturday Sessions, payment for our guest coaches, referees, paint for the field, new field painter and porta-potty rentals for the fields.

Our goal is to raise about $20,000 this year and we need your help to do it! Last year we raised $5000 on our Biggby sales alone, I hope to get more participation this year and get that number alone to $10,000 through a tiered reward program! The Biggby fundraiser only takes two weeks! Talk about it now to people, because it is going to happen! They are $20 and the coupons will be good for a full year this year!

Additionally, we are in the middle of our Shed fundraiser for a new shed to be placed at the Baldwin fields: We have raised $850 so far of the $1200-1500 needed for that project.

Equipment donation: We are always accepting gently used equipment, from Helmets to sticks, to pads. If you have upgraded, somebody could still benefit from your old gear!

Raffle: ECD Mirage fully strung head: Tickets are $1 each for 10 for $5.  These will be available at the wall-ball and Saturday Sessions.
